Duke Fairchild has over 10 years of real estate investment banking and development experience, with a concentration on large, transformative, mixed-use development projects located in the Washington metropolitan area.
Mr. Fairchild is the Director of Finance at Sagamore Development and is responsible for executing the underwriting and development feasibility of the Port Covington project, as well as advising the executive team on matters of financing, venture negotiations, and investment structuring.
Previously, Mr. Fairchild worked as a Vice President at The Greenwich Group International, where he assisted in executing and closing on $2.6 billion in transactions.
The Wharf – Washington, DC, 3.2M SF
Mr. Fairchild spent over 2 years as the lead underwriter who assisted PN Hoffman and Madison Marquette in securing $220 million of institutional joint-venture equity.
The $2 billion project consists of 3.2M SF of development along an entire mile of DC’s southwest waterfront, 27 acres of land, 52 acres of riparian rights/development, and $198 million TIF/PILOT financing.
The Wharf includes 17 distinct buildings including residential apartments and condominiums, 3 hotels, retail, a 6,000 person music venue, cogeneration power plant, and an existing marina to undergo redevelopment/expansion.

Mr. Fairchild was the lead underwriter and a key member of the investment banking team that assisted the ownership in securing $86 million in construction financing to facilitate the conversion/expansion of an existing office building into 197 luxury residential apartments with ground floor retail.
